LIZ PURSELL: Honda fought this appearance, but the State Supreme Court ordered it. The chairman of the board of American Honda, Tetsuo Chino is in his second day of testimony in a personal injury case. It is the case of Frankie Cusomono [phonetic], injured on a three-wheel ATC six years ago. He is brain injured and partially paralyzed. Frankie lived. Almost 900 people have died in ATC accidents.
CRAIG MCCLELLAN: Have you ever sat in your office, sir, and you looked through the computer printouts that come with these listing the individuals that have been killed on these vehicles since 1982. Have you ever gone through one of these?
TETSUO CHINO: No.
LIZ PURSELL: Chino says he was concerned about the rising number of injuries and ordered an investigation. He faltered and openly wept in the courtroom when the subject turned to injured children and efforts to promote safety.
