Barbara Rope has more than 15 years' experience as a case manager, primarily in plaintiffs personal injury, product liability and wrongful death cases. Barbara has extensive experience in civil litigation and trial preparation both in state and federal court, and she recently supported two of the firm's attorneys in a three-week federal trial in Fresno, California.
Before joining the firm, she played a key role in a complex, multiparty case against Tyson Foods that resulted in a settlement of more than $42 million.
Barbara was selected as one of the best and brightest San Diego paralegals for 2008 based on her hard work, enthusiasm, honesty and integrity.
Barbara was born in Hawaii and grew up in a military family. She has lived in California, New Jersey, Tennessee, Louisiana and Arkansas. She recently returned to California to be close to family, although her Southern charm is still very apparent and appreciated by her co-workers and clients alike.
Barbara earned her associate's degree from Southwest Tennessee Community College, graduating cum laude. Since then, she has embraced her role as a Case Manager and frequently offers suggestions to help the lawyers in presenting their cases.
In her spare time, Barbara enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with her family.
