Craig McClellan Featured In Super Lawyers Magazine
As the founding attorney of The McClellan Law Firm, Craig McClellan has garnered a considerable amount of attention from fellow attorneys, news outlets and nationally recognized organizations throughout the United States.
He was recently featured on the cover of Super Lawyers Magazine, and had the chance to talk about the work he does in and out of the courtroom to provide the dedicated legal representation he has become famous for. A key aspect that helped contribute to his decades of success was highlighted throughout the Super Lawyers feature: his preparation.
“I tend to think ahead and have already pictured what I’m going to communicate,” he says. The same is true in a courtroom. “Before the trial, I prepare the case to death. The only time I don’t get nervous is if I know more than anyone else in the courtroom.”
Becoming a nationally-recognized and well-respected lawyer is one thing, but staying ahead of the curve is another. It requires constant learning, work and adaptability to stay on top.
“When I started, everyone thought oration was a big deal,” he says, “harkening back to the days when people would gather and listen to Clarence Darrow give a final argument that lasted two days. Today, if you spend more than six minutes without changing the subject in a closing argument, the jury will be thinking about what to have for dinner or what they’ll be doing this weekend.” He adds, “I try cases for the two-minute mind.”
